We recently returned from Kavanaugh's, a family resort located near Brainerd. It's our second year going there. We rent a cabin that has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, deck, and washer/dryer. The resort has so much for a family---basketball, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, hottub, hiking trails, biking trails, bikes, pontoons, an arcade room, exercise room, two wonderful beaches, and kayaks. The kids (as well as Aaron and I) cannot wait to go back again next year.
One of the days we went to Brainerd to have a little fun. Here we are Go-Cart racing. We also went bowling and went to Nisswa to do a little "street-shopping". If you ever get a change to go there, it's a little street with lots of neat shops!
Kyra LOVED swimming as long as she had a hold of mommy! This is the outdoor pool. It was so warm, it felt like you were getting into a luxorious bath every day!
They have a rubber duck race in one of their rocky creeks they have running in between the resort. Nick (back right) was one of the winners for his "heat". 
Here is one of the bikes you can use while at the resort. It's called a "dolly" and can hold all of us. Of course, Aaron and I had a difficult time pedaling as the bike weighs a LOT (not including the kids). They're coming down a hill here...Kyra LOVED it!
