We caught a leprechaun!

When we got home last night, Nick began collecting materials around the house. When I asked him what he was doing, he said that he was going to build a "leprechaun trap". He used a box, dominoes, Jenga blocks, and a roll of paper towels.

This is Nick's final "trap". The leprechaun was to walk up the steps and fall into the hole on the top of the paper towels.

This is what Nick found this morning. He wasn't sure what to think. It's a little Happy Meals toy from the Wizard of Oz theme. His face and nonverbal reactions were hilarious (walked up to it very slowly, not knowing if the little guy was alive or not).

Here he is with his new found leprechaun! I don't think he was quite awake when I took this picture! :-)

Spring Break Fun

During spring break this year, we decided to make the trek to Champaign, Illinois to visit Aaron's sister (Jodi) and her family. The drive wasn't as bad as we thought it would be (12 hours). We had a great time visiting our relatives and the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. Cole asked his mom after we left if Kadence could "move" there. What a sweetheart! In the picture below is Jay, Cole, Kadence, Kyra, and Nick. Morgan was at school when we took the photo.

Three peas in a pod. The boys got along great together. They are all supporting Illinois in this picture!

My babies!!!

Kyra checking out a pool stick.

Kyra loved the pool table and thought it was neat to place the balls into the pockets by crawling around on the table.

Basketball Boy

Nick has been and is engrossed with basketball. We have this hoop in our basement, where he spends many hours shooting hoops from across the room, dunking, and acting like certain basketball players. He actually "announces" what occurs as he does it as well and has a great voice fluctuation like an announcer would. It's hard to describe, but after you hear him, you have to giggle as he sounds just like the announcer at the SDSU games. We have to get the outdoor one set-up for him once the snow disappears as he is consistently wanting to go to grandpa and grandma's house to "shoot hoops" in their driveway.
