Happy Easter 2011

Happy Easter to everyone! We had an enjoyable weekend going to church, coloring Easter eggs, coloring pictures for the Easter bunny, having an Easter egg hunt, and finding our Easter baskets the Easter bunny had left for us!

Kyra found her basket in the family room. She was ecstatic when she found hers and didn't want anyone touching her things!

Kyra's 2nd birthday

We celebrated Kyra's 2nd birthday! It is so hard to believe she is that old already! She LOVED her presents and her cupcake tree! We had to light her candle twice so that she could blow it out again. Grandma Charleen was helping her so that she didn't get too close to the fire.

Kadence and Nick wanted to help Kyra blow her candle out but Kyra, being her independent self, let them know that it was "HERS".

Aaron and I got a new stroller for Kyra. She absolutely loved it and has played with it on a daily basis since that day.

Nick and Kadence wanted to help Kyra open her presents. Kyra allowed them to do so, but when it came to playing with the actual gift, they had to wait.

Riding horses

Johnny, the guy who rents out our other acreage, has a few horses. Last night Kadence and Nick wanted to ride a horse as Johnny was practicing with his. Johnny was so wonderful---he led them around the farm yard. They were so proud and excited. Too bad daddy doesn't see the benefit of having horses, so we will have to rely on Johnny's!

The new Gator

Dale and Aaron decided that a new John Deere Gator was something they needed on the farm. Dale told Nick that it would be "his" to drive around this summer, helping out where needed. Nick loves it! I'm just thankful there are seatbelts! :-) Here is Nick giving Kadence a ride. He is very cautious and makes sure that he follows every rule that we instill on him.

Nick's spring concert

Nick had his first spring concert last week. Unfortunately Aaron and I both had meetings to attend, so Grandma Charleen was gracious enough to watch him. She said it was a nice concert and that Nick did a nice job with his speaking part. He has a red sweater on (in case you have a difficult time finding him).
