New Mexico---here comes Aaron and Nick

Aaron and Nick spent a few days on a "fan bus" supporting the men's SDSU basketball team as they headed to New Mexico for teh NCAA tournament. They were SO EXCITED to go and when asked if they would do it again (after riding so long in the bus), they both said..."You bet!" Nick was the youngest on the bus. A basketball player, Brayden Carlson, found out Nick was on the bus and wrote Nick a letter stating how nice it is to have such a supportive fan like him. It truly made Nick's day!

Congrats Nick!

Nick was chosen as Medary's Kid of Character for his class this month. The character trait was Trustworthiness. The teacher said Nick is a trustworthy person overall...with following rules, to playing with friends and being nice to everyone he meets. We are very proud of you Nick!

Nick's Spring music concert

Nick had his annual Spring music concert. He was very excited and didn't seem nervous whatsoever. Nick doesn't have a "knack" for music but LOVES anything dealing with music such as playing instruments, listening to music, etc. (as long as he doesn't have to sing by himself) Nick is on the top row in a light blue dress shirt towards the right side of the pictures.

Kadence

Kadence wanted me to take a few pictures of her one night. These were her favorites she picked out.

Drew 9 and 10 months of age

Drew is now 10 months old. Where does the time go? He is a very active boy who is on the verge of walking. He loves to watch the farm cats outside our deck doors, loves to suck his thumb, and loves his Mommy!

Nick and his love for basketball

Nick still has a genuine love for basketball. If he isn't playing it downstairs or outside at our home or at Grandma and Grandpa's, he is watching it on tv. He wanted me to take a few pictures of him practicing in our basement.

SDSU Junior Jacks Spring 2012

Nick, Kadence, and Kyra were the Junior Jacks for one of the men's Jackrabbit games this spring. Griffin Callahan's niece was also one. They were so excited and did a fantastic job of doing what was asked of them. I was nervous for Kyra, being that she is only 2, but she did great and was so independent that the men were actually laughing at her. She got right into the huddle and had no problems giving the players high-fives.

Painting

Every year since we completed our basement, I have the kids paint on canvas and hang them in the hallway in the basement. They love doing it and I love how they have changed from year to year.

Taking a bath in the kitchen sink

Kyra LOVES taking baths in our kitchen sink (she actually just gets into the water and pretends to wash dishes). The other day Drew was insistent about getting up there too. I couldn't catch him smiling, but he LOVED it! Although Kyra is a little taller than Drew, they are only 3 pounds from each other in weight in his picture. Drew is SOLID.

Hanging with daddy

The kids love to watch movies in our bedroom, laying in our bed, eating snackies and drinking pop or juice. Drew doesn't know what to think about this yet, as he wants to "get off" to crawl around.
